SHANE LAMB EMBARKS ON SOLO ACOUSTIC TOUR BEGINNING JULY 2

Singer/songwriter playing 11 shows in support of debut album, Disengage

Nashville, TN—Nashville singer/songwriter Shane Lamb endured a period of loss and disillusionment, and came out on the other end with his debut album, the critically acclaimed Disengage. Now Lamb, who cites Tom Petty, Neil Young and Bob Dylan as some of the influences on Disengage, hits the road for a solo acoustic tour beginning July 2.

"Disengage was a huge shift in my life on all levels," Lamb recalls. "Every aspect of my life was up for grabs, which is extremely exciting and frightening all at once." The singer says those tough times led to one of the most creative and focused periods of his career. "There was a lot on here that was very difficult to write and also very liberating. It is really honest, and wide open and exposed."

The critics agree. "It’s hard not to be encouraged by Lamb’s utter determination to make lemonade out of his crate full of lemons," writes Dan MacIntosh of ReviewYou.com. "Such perseverance turns Disengage into a truly engaging effort." Adds Michael Morgan, "Disengage embodies the kind of rock that embraces all of the things great about American folk rock music: love, freedom and the hunger for something else."

Lamb's summer tour kicks off at the Hallenbrick Brewery in Albuquerque, NM, on July 2 before making subsequent stops at various locales in California and Nevada through August 5 (see full schedule below). "I am really excited about the tour," says Lamb, who has played with the likes of Lee Roy Parnell, Trisha Yearwood, Delbert McClinton, Lynnyrd Skynyrd and the Yardbirds. "I love the chance to meet and play music for the people that have been excited about the record. Plus, I will get to share a bunch of new songs I am currently recording."

Lamb is particularly eager to hit the road in light of his recent struggles. "Doing a solo acoustic tour is a new venture and something that is very appealing to me right now," he says. "Feels like more freedom and the chance to be light on my feet."
