August 2012 Newsletter

August 1. When you start seeing back to school ads, you know summer is almost over. That is kind of sad, but I’ll be honest—I’m not a fan of 100-degree heat. And we’ve had maybe five days of that, plus it’s been just below or above 90 almost every day in Wisconsin since May. Think about that—Wisconsin, the great white north. You don’t have to be a scientist or Al Gore to know that something ain’t right. And that might okay but we’ve had very little rain too, which has kind of sucked for farmers.

Anyway, there are things to look forward to besides my son’s birthday (and it’s a milestone, making me realize just how fast time is whizzing by). We can look forward to cool fall air (unless you live in Arizona or Texas or Florida), football season, and music. Yeah, there it is again --we’re back to that……
